Dennis Frisby joined Deutsch, Levy & Engel, Chartered in 1994 and is a Principal. Dennis was also formerly employed by the Internal Revenue Service in the Chicago Appellate Division. While working for the IRS, he was honored in 1978 with the United States Department of the Treasury Certificate of Award for outstanding service.Currently, Dennis focuses his practice in the area of tax law including estate planning and representation of clients before the IRS and Illinois Department of Revenue. His estate planning clients comprise closely held business owners, professionals and highly compensated employees. Dennis has handled multi-million dollar tax cases for clients before the IRS and in the United States Tax Court.
In addition, Dennis has published various tax articles in the Illinois CPA Society News Journal while serving on the Federal Income Tax Committee of the Illinois CPA Society. He is the author of a chapter on tax injunctions published in the IICLE Federal Civil Tax Practice Handbook. Dennis has also lectured as a Federal Tax Instructor for the Independent Accountants Association.
