Michael Devine joined the firm in 1978 and is now a Principal. He currently serves as Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois. In 1985, he served as an Adjunct Professor in the Lawyering Skills Program of the John Marshall Law School. Michael concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and secured transactions, commercial litigation, eminent domain and appellate practice. He also represents publicly held and privately owned corporate clients in matters including acquisitions and divestitures. In addition, he represents both commercial lenders and borrowers in financing transactions.
Michael's commercial litigation experience includes trials and appellate practice in both state and federal courts involving shareholder disputes, restructures, covenant litigation, eminent domain an d equitable accounting action. He passed the Certified Public Accountancy Exam in 1977. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Montini High School in Lombard, IL and of Our Children's Homestead, a child welfare agency.
