Steve Raminiak concentrates his practice in estate planning as well as the administration of estates and trusts established for decedents, minors and disabled persons. He regularly tackles contested estates, and has been appointed as Guardian ad Litem, Special Administrator, and as counsel for minors and the disabled by Judges in the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.Steve excels at developing estate plans involving blended families, non-traditional relationships and disabled persons. He also advises business entities in regards to succession planning, tax planning and corporate governance issues.
Additionally, Steve regularly donates his time to those with financial hardships. Steve acts as a resource for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) through his service as a Guardian ad Litem and by providing direction to other volunteer attorneys. He has begun the development of a series of seminars on estate administration for CVLS. The first, "Administration of Small, Uncontested Decedent Estates in Cook County, Illinois," was webcast in 2010. The second, covering Accountings, will be webcast in 2011.
