At a meeting of PAMCANI, Margey Newman addressed the Illinois Supreme Court decision in Lasalle Bank v. Cypress Creek, which overturned over 100 years of mechanic's lien law.  The case changed how proceeds from a foreclosure sale are divided up among lenders and mechanic's lien claimants.  The decision ended up giving the lenders a larger share of the sale proceeds.
