David Ben-Dov joined DLE in 2003. David focuses his practice in the area of commercial litigation, handling numerous trials and arbitration hearings on behalf of private entities and governmental agencies. David has a broad background and significant experience handling complex matters, including contract and lease disputes, employment issues, and eminent domain litigation. Additionally, David has handled the investigation of claims of employment-related discrimination on behalf of employers, and has counseled employers regarding compliance with wage and hour laws. David also represents clients before arbitration and mediation authorities, and governmental agencies. Prior to joining DLE, David served as an Assistant Attorney General specializing in the defense of governmental agencies in employment litigation, and also handled prosecutions of state wage and hour laws. Presently, David is appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General to handle litigation on behalf of the State of Illinois.
During law school, David worked as an intern at the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois. David also was a member of the Chicago-Kent Moot Court Honor Society, where he argued in various national competitions and served as a Vice-President of the Moot Court Honor Society Executive Board.
