Stuart Berks was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1966. He managed his own firm, Law Offices of Stuart Berks, P.C. until March of 1989. That same year, Stuart joined Deutsch, Levy & Engel, Chartered as a Principal. His broad experience covers general corporate law, and acquisitions and mergers. Stuart has extensive experience in litigation in business and commercial settings including substantial involvement in the field of employment law and appellate practice. Since 1989, he has focused in the representation of some of the largest U.S.-based automobile dealerships and security alarm contractors in all areas of their business activities.
Stuart has published articles in various Bar Journals on the public perception of the practice of law as reflected in the media. He has also lectured extensively on various topics on behalf of the Chicago Bar Association and served as an instructor in contract law at the John Marshall Law School in 1972.
