Alvin J. Helfgot
Alvin Helfgot focuses his practice in the areas of banking, including creditor rights and secured lending, and commercial real estate. In his banking practice, Al assists his clients in navigating all aspects of the lending relationship between lenders and borrowers. Al’s practice also includes advising clients ranging from large, national financial institutions and local banks to closely-held businesses and individuals on all aspects of commercial and industrial real estate matters. Al’s experience includes guiding lending institutions on regulatory and general banking operations, as well as negotiating and documenting commercial loan transactions, including construction and development loans, industrial revenue and bond financing and large syndicated loans.
Al served as in-house general counsel to several financing institutions and also taught high school history prior to joining the firm in 2003.
