Jeffrey B. Horwitz
Jeff Horwitz‘s practice areas include real estate, corporate and transactional matters, and financing. Jeff provides counsel on all aspects of commercial, industrial and residential real estate matters, including negotiating and documenting purchase and sale agreements, construction agreements and leases, and advising clients on pre-acquisition due diligence assessments. Jeff represents real estate investment funds, banks, equity and managing partners in real estate joint ventures, and governmental lenders in financing transactions, including construction loans, mezzanine loans and other structured financings and workouts. During his career, Jeff has established relationships with many high-profile real estate brokers throughout the Chicagoland area and provides a hands-on approach in assisting his clients in navigating the residential sale and closing process.
In his corporate and transactional counseling practice, Jeff advises clients in all aspects of business planning, including entity choice and formation, contract negotiation, loan documentation, license procurement, acquisitions and mergers and provides practical guidance on the legal aspects of day-to-day business operations. Jeff joined Deutsch, Levy & Engel, Chartered in 2002 and previously worked as an accountant for a prominent automotive products company.
