Lauren Lukoff joined Deutsch, Levy, & Engel in 2012. Lauren concentrates her practice in the area of banking and creditors’ rights litigation as well as general commercial litigation. Lauren is an experienced litigator who appears in both state and federal court advocating for her clients’ interests in a variety of matters, including bankruptcy court proceedings, complex commercial and residential litigation involving mortgage foreclosures, contractual disputes, city ordinance violations, and creditor’s rights.
Lauren also practices in the areas of construction law and she co-authored a chapter entitled “Negotiating Subcontracts” for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education 2017 publication of Construction Law: Transactional Considerations. Lauren counsels landlords on negotiating and drafting leases, complying with state and local landlord/tenant laws, and the eviction process. She has also been appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General to represent state agencies in eminent domain matters.
