Michael J. Devine
Michael Devine concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate transactions, commercial litigation, and condemnation. Mike represents businesses in matters including formation of entities, acquisitions and divestitures, contract negotiation and dispute resolution, shareholder agreements, disputes among corporate shareholders and limited liability company members, employment issues, and agreements for sales, distribution, and leasing. In addition, he represents both commercial lenders and borrowers in financing transactions.
Mike’s commercial litigation experience includes trials and appellate practice in both state and federal courts involving shareholder disputes, non-compete litigation, eminent domain, will contests and accounting actions.
Mike is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois in condemnation matters. Mike has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Lawyering Skills Program of the John Marshall Law School and is counsel to the Board of Directors of a local private high school.
